Been months d.land...

Today, I found out my mother has been admitted to the hospital after weeks of complaining about a pain in her stomach. She is now in isolation/quarantine at the hospital as they have yet to figure out if it is bacterial or viral. Apparently it is serious and mom has been on painkillers for the past 36 hours.

Next, today my brother's wife went into labour at home. Apparently the birth was so painful that the planned natural birth was abandoned in favour of a painkillers. They were using a midwife, and it is still unclear if a midwife can administer that kind of treatment. They rushed to hospital after the birth, worried about both mother and daughter.

Both her and the baby have been admitted to the hospital with complications. The baby has trouble breathing and has a bacterial infection, unclear as to what happened in this case as well.

Dad didn't call regarding my mother, for reasons unknown, although he has been strongly hinting that he feels I have been derelict regarding calls and visits home.

I have not spoken to my mother as of yet, nor my brother.

I'm waiting by the phone.
